Fiesta ST for sure. Better looking, better built, more reliable, look much better, better residuals

Definitely the Fiesta.

I'd take anything over a Vauxhall, but at least the Fiesta is a good car.

But he did tell me that he liked those Alfa Romeo's just cant remember the spec you said, as that one you found has sold.

Fiesta is a much better choice. Corsa VXR's are pretty bad reliability wise.

I've got a Fiesta ST-3. It's just brilliant - never fails to put a smile on my face. You won't regret it.

Is he buying new or used? If new the production of the MK7 ST has now stopped and won't resume again until spring 2018 with the MK8 ST.

Going to price new but maybe able to get a deal as the new model is out

But i'd take an r56 mini jcw, fit it with coil overs.
It'd be a much faster than either car above and I like the exhaust noises better on the mini, I think its a more fun car if you can live with the fuel consumption.
