Saw a perfect car, sold by a long established indie who sells decent cars and it was a Cayenne 08 at £20k. Perfect spec for me but it said FSH last serviced March 2014 like it was something to be proud of.

So on sunday I called and emailed leaving messages asking if it was a typo, no reply, I called at 8.45 no reply, 9.20 no reply but listening to the guys message it gave a mobile which I called. When I said is it a typo he said he didnt know and would look it up, when I called this afternoon he had a pre deposit and it was last serviced 3.5 years ago.

Im pissed off that a perfect spec has been ruined by none servicing (odd) but the dealer stating FSH when thats only tru if we go back in time.

The search continues ......

is it likely to cause an isssue ? have you found out who carried out the last services to see i they have carried one out that has not been stamped ? If its the perfect car see if they will give it a full service prior to collection.
as for opening on a sunday, sunday trading states opening between 10am to 5pm.

I guess the main factor would be the number of miles covered since then and now.

If it was less than the recommended interval but over on time then personally I would have snaffled it up and had a full service done straight away.

I would have been ok with it but didnt get the chance, and couldnt believe it wasnt a typo as why boast about it!
The hunt continues, these things are very spec sensitive.

I think there is a difference between FSH and serviced as per manufacturers recommendations.

FSH documents the work that has been carried out but doesn't necessarily mean it has been done everytime, on time, as specified by the mfg.

It could also mean that more servicing has been done than recommended.

You should always buy on condition, because it has a "FSH" doesn't guarantee the car is any better than one that doesn't.

Looking at an ad for a well spec'd but still merely a 2010 derv Golf. 72K. "4 stamps in book, 3 of which are VW"

That surprised me!
