I'm running a Mini Cooper S as a small car, it's pretty highly specced, but doesn't have memory seats which is a pain when swapping drivers and takes ages to get back to the exact position I had before (never seem to get it quite right!)

Anyway I was thinking, what's the smallest new car I can buy with all of the following requirements?
- Automatic
- 0-62 < 7 secs
- Memory seats with at least 2 memories
- heated front windscreen (or remote engine start)
- At least 4 seats
- At least 4 doors
- Rear parking sensors

Ideally also:-
- Android Auto
- Leather seats
- Petrol

Any ideas - I know I'm asking of things from larger cars, but I like something small which fits in parking spaces and still allowing me to open the doors etc. (plus there's also a larger car).

So far, I'm struggling..
- Golf GTI/ Golf R
- BMW M140i (no heated front windscreen)
- Jaguar XE-S (bit big and expensive)

Surely there must be more out there?

(edited to add remote start as alternative)

Small Lexus? The Lexuses seem to have a fair bit of kit.

BMW might have heated washer jets... With a high ethanol screen wash, heated windscreen might be nice but a deal-breaker?

Was my first thought, though I'd ditch the heated windscreen option for some actual choice. Had it, decent enough in winter, but a PITA in certain conditions.

The choice really does depend on money sensitivity and other things.

ETA - Any kind of car manufacturer connectivity is so last millennium, so wouldn't worry about that. The mile they are behind on that one is a very, very steep one & I've no idea why confused

S1 only comes in manual, doesnt have memory seats as an option (oddly nor does an S3 or RS3 even though a Golf does). And no Audi's have a heated front screen.

My heated front screen requirement comes from having to leave for work before 5:40 in the morning so in winter months can be frozen solid and every minute counts! (Remote engine start/defrost could also work, since it could pre-warm up the car before I get to it)
Auto because drive a fair bit in town traffic and my wife who uses it occasionally needs to drive an auto
Memory seats because I've decided it's inconvenient switching back to seats.
I'm just seeing what the choices are available. Budget isn't a concern at this point.
0-62 < 7secs because I have to pull out onto a very fast busy 60mph road and get up to traffic speed asap. (Well most legit safety reason I can think of)

But even if the heated windscreen did get ditched, the memory seats option pretty much kills the choice too. If there's really nothing out there at this time I might as well run the mini for longer..

To give examples, Other cars I've ran in the past for the purpose and their short comings for what I need now (a small second car for commuting and kid pickup/ drop off sometimes)...
- Audi TTS MK2, missing heated front screen and memory seats, bit of a pain getting kids in and out the back
- Audi S5 sportback, missing heated front screen had memory seats, bit too long made it a pain sometimes for parking
- Jaguar F-Type, had everything would have been ideal (had memory seats and heated front screen) except doesn't have 4 seats and was a bit on the big side despite that!
- range rover Evoque, had everything except the 0-60, and was the main family car (but worked out a bit too small for that), and thus why looking for the gadgets having had them
- seat Ibiza 1.2 fr dsg, ideal size could park in any tight space, lack of heated windscreen meant it kept freezing up on the inside! Also lacked memory seats and felt a bit slow once you hit the big roads.
- mini cooper s 5dr, pretty much perfect to requirements except lacking memory seats. Ok im not sure on the looks either but perfect size, has heated windscreen.

I appreciate its a completely first world non problem but just curious to find if there's anything out there? (And I do like switching cars often)

You could always buy some aftermarket electric seats? Or source some from from another car and make them fit?

Not sure if it has a heated screen, but, if it does, this is a great option.

Expensive compared to other options mentioned, but I think the Jaguar E Pace can do what you ask...

If it had a heated screen, then that'd fit everything perfectly! Unfortunately, I don't think it does

That could work (the 240ps petrol one), though ithe E-Pace is actually quite a big car despite being a baby Jag!

I was just thinking an i3 could work too (remote pre-heating if plugged in), though could be left stranded if I forget to plug it in to charge up every night...

Audi s1
They come in 5 door form.
Smaller than golf etc, but decent performance.
Im not sure if they have a heated screen though.

I'd have liked one, but manual only, no heated windscreen, and no option for memory seats.

That is very true, however (unless it can be got for a few hundred quid), I think I'll live with it for now and put it up towards the next car..

The A45 comes with a pre heater so it blows hot air on start up & normally clears within a minute also as someone suggested a decent screenwash with ethanol will see you on your way swiftly.

Golf GTE?

Has remote heating/cooling as standard, but can add heated windscreen and washer jets etc.

Also can add memory drivers seat.

Ticks the other boxes for you too!

Cheers
