Recently got a new job with a 125 mile weekly commute and a nice pay rise. So....thought it would be a good idea to treat myself and get rid of the erm, Vectra.

Been looking at fast hatchbacks mainly, but i can't really find anything that (IMO) would be enough of an improvement on my previous MK2 Focus ST (Circa 330bhp).

The MK3 RS is looking very dodgy atm with residuals, the MK2 is the opposite and i just cant justify that money for what it is...And i'm not getting another ST. Then we have Golf R, M140i which, i dunno. They're very good cars but i just don't get that fizz and could see me getting bored very quickly. A45 & RS3 out of my price range.

Have always had a thing for big engined saloons. Which lead to me looking at A6 & A8's then i noticed the S6 with THAT engine. Now that gives me a fizz. After a quick browse on them it seems they're perfect for wafting but despite the engine they aren't all that fun.

Anyone on here have any experience with them? Or can recommend an alternative at similar price.

I had no idea all this machinery was available at such low prices! Always been a hatchback man, have sunk some serious £££ into several projects. One of the above would have probably done me
