So o/h was set on an Audi Q5- budget around 13k.

To get a decent specced Q5 version this buys a high mileage version...although Iike thesize of the Q5 it seems they seem to have really good residuals and therefore my budget buys a 2008/2009 version...

For the same price I can also buy a cayenne of potentially the same price range ...

Fuel economy is not really an issue for me but what are running costs going to be like between the two?

The cayenne actually seems like better value when I compare the cost of the two when new...

What's the bork factor like on the cayenne? From what I'm reading the Auto Q5s of the year I'm looking at are not that reliable either...

Unfortunately has to be an auto - and with certain options - zenons, heated seats, power boot - all the q5s with these options don't seem very good value but if the running cost (excluding fuel ) isn't much different then my thinking is the cayenne would be much more fun...

Any other options in this price range ? Not keen on the X5 or ML

What a late plate Touareg Altitude? Lovely place to spend time, good luggage capacity, VW build quality and reliability and a lovely engine -
