Further to my other thread and looking at Audi Q5s which dont really seem to represent good value. I am now pondering an Infinity

Specifically the EX 3.7 V6 petrol...

Anyone have experience of them - what are service costs and reliability like?

They seem to be really good value...

I am on my second - I have to say they are undervalued and under appreciated. FX is a very wide car - so a bit tight parking in small bays... but a great SUV

It drives more like a car than a 4x4 - and I think they look good.

I had a 3.7 petrol, and changed it for the 5l petrol.... what a hoot!

Love mine, and want to keep it, but new cars across the family due in a couple months so a change is coming for me! Will be selling mine shortly

Dont hesitate - a lot of car for the money!!

This is what I like to hear .... smile

Sorry. Have a few questions if you don't mind ...

What is servicing like on them? As not that common is it easy to get it serviced from an Indi?

Does it go through tyres like other 4 x 4? Reasonable to change?

What's the difference in fuel economy between the 5l and 3.7 l?

I have a 5l
I wouldn't bother with the 3.7. I can't see it being much more economical. Mine does up to 25 but ave 22.
Also the 5.0 has a more advanced chassis and comes fully loaded. Servicing is nothing a normal garage can't do.

As above - nothing that any regular indi cant do... But I always have mine serviced at Infiniti. They collect it and deliver it back - not had any issues.

Tyres have been very good actually - neither of my FX were hard on tyres.

Fuel economy - 5l is a fraction more thirsty - but soooo worth it. Genuinely, it is a great car to drive - and it can shock people on those rare occasions you decide to put your foot down.... There is another one nearby me (on PH) who has an aftermarket exhaust on his 5l - that thing is noisy :-)

Like I say above - it is a great car - they come fairly fully loaded, very reliable, and lots of fun.

If I was being harsh, I would say the boot isnt as big as you may expect, and as I mentioned, its wide, so can be tight in some parking bays..> But for me, it beats any other SUV in the market - and ata fraction of the cost... Where abouts in the country are you?

You could say that about just about everything else on the road - Audi = Skoda, Lexus = Toyota, etc etc etc
no you couldnt.

Some Infiniti use a lot of Mercedes & Renault parts/engines now & appear to be built in the UK! Bit of a mis-mash..

When they came onto the market in GB, Clarkson - love him or loathe him - commented " Have you ever wakened up and thought ' what I need in my life is a posh Datsun'? "

I must try harder!
I was thinking that to get a 5.0 v8 then surely you have to buy a premium make.
I don't see your 'white goods ' marques producing similar.
