Two S2000's I am considering.
Discussion
EDIT: Title should have said three...
1. '03, 83k miles, 7k
2. '05, 78k miles, 9k
3. '02, 65k miles, 7.5k
Anyone have any thoughts as to whether these are reasonably priced, which to go for etc.? I have a checklist of common problems and things to check with the owners - the second certainly seems the better car with an enthusiast owner, but is two grand more expensive and without the hardtop than the first. The facelift is probably a better purchase though (04 and onwards). The third is a dealer so perhaps more come back but you don't get an idea of how it has previously been treated.

Cheers chaps. I agree the blue looks best. I am having second thoughts about the S2000 - £9k is a lot of money for an 80k miles 04 with some expensive potential issues. I can get a 08 350z with more mod cons and less miles for less (though admittedly £300 more a year in tax). One to consider. The question of which sports car for ten grand seems to come up a lot here, so time to dig through some old posts...
I've a lime green one for sale with a comparable mileage and condition to these, and need to move it on before Winter. Please let me know if keen. (-:

You change your mind more often than I have hot dinners!!
I know ! I want to get the choice right this time ... Currently between 350z, Civic Type R and S2K. I think the DC5 is out as it is an import and the insurance is an issue. The 350z is probably out tbh because of the £505 tax. I am being drawn back to my first choice, a Civic Type R. Now I have the idea of RWD stuck in my head though ...

I should add it's on 82,000 miles, is the 04 facelift & there are only 4 left in the UK. ;-)Not listed it yet but here it is, with stable mate...

Regards to 350Z - they've still some depreciating left to do, and the gearshift & driving sensation doesn't even come close to the S2! But I would say that, I'm biased!

If you are planning on doing a lot of motorway driving the hard top is a massive improvement over non hardtop in terms of noise/comfort, I found my non hardtop S2k a pain in the neck on long motorway trips when the weather was not good enough to have the top down.
Thanks for the insight. I do a reasonable amount of motorway miles, as my girlfriend lives in a different city fifty miles of motorway away. There is still a bit of thinking to be done as to whether a roadster is the right car for me, or whether I would be better served by a hot hatch (or even a hot saloon). I had one (06 reg) a couple of years back and I couldn't believe how noisy it was. Even with the hood up you couldn't hear the person next to you above 60mph.
I had wanted one when they were first made in 1999ish, but couldn't wait to get rid of it. Most disappointed I've ever been with a car.
