You may had seen previous posts i've made on here, but looking for some good advice now!

Buying a car today has never been such a minefield, with euro6 its a minefield! (does it even matter if i'm on the south coast?).

I've had an A(Bore)4 for the last three years, it was great for the dog, rods, clubs, ikea runs!

Next option is to buy cash (well bank of J sainsburys) with a budget at about what I was paying on PCP.

Looking for something thats Euro6, low miles (bout 40k max), got DAB (no way im going back to FM), decent extras. And will be good resale in three years.

-Looking at Autotrader you can get some great deals on new shape Passats now coming onto the market.
-Hyundai Tuscon is very popular now, but you look at them and they are gutless engines and very basic. 20k gets me in a Santa Fe but i'd rather go Q5 at that price!

Anyone willing to give me some ideas for this budget?

DAB sucks, its over hyped, if the car has it then ok, if not then dont worry.

As for the Passat, go Skoda instead, you can get newer, cheaper and better equipped for the same money wink

This isnt bad for a 2nd hand car, you can actually pick up a new 1.4 tsi 150 for just over 18k (estate) but not as many extra's frown

I've been looking around this weekend.

Found an ex rep car, it's registered Oct 2016 and got 27k on it.

Cause for concern with that much mileage in year 1?

It's probably all motorway miles and properly maintained. Wouldn't bother me, especially if your annual mileage is below average (so it balances out).

If i do 12k a year in year 2/3 itll be on 50 at year three when i probably look to flog it on.

Thanks

If you want extras & don't mind going a bit over budget (haggle hard & you should be able to knock a bit off) then this is a great car, I have the diesel version & can't fault it.

It feels like a step up from the titanium models & this one is cheap, resale should be good as it's a Petrol & people will be looking for these in the future it won't depreciate any worse than a 320i M Sport.
