Good morning,

I previously started a thread but deleted it somehow. Anyway, with a heavy heart I recently sold my Hawkeye Impreza STI as it didn't project the right image for my job (financial adviser) and it wasn't ideal for long journeys on the motorway.

My dad has been so kind to lend me his 335d (he has purchased a new car) whilst I decide what I am to buy next. Although the 335d would be ideal, I have no kids etc and still want a car that can add a bit of drama when needed, but also be/look sensibleish. I have a large dog and although I ferry him about a bit on walks or to my parents, a car to accommodate him for long journeys is not required as the gfs car can be used instead.

Anyway, I have a budget of c.£23k and have kind of narrowed my search down to either a C63, RS3 or TTRS. I have previously had rs4's etc, so I am looking for something at different, but I am after experiences both good and bad and also some pointers as to what to buy to project the right image and also have some fun when I want. I should point out that I am paid per mile by work also.

I am also open minded as to other things I may have not considered.

Thanks in advance.

Do you have any preferences as to age, mileage, reliability?

I'm not too fussed about age. I usually buy on condition. my Subaru had 95k on it and you hear loads of horror stories. However, it was mint and I kept up to the SH so never let me down.

Obviously I want the car to be reliable as breaking down on the way to a clients is never ideal.

You could get into a leggy 911 in budget.
