I've put a small deposit down on the above-mentioned.

A 2010 pre-facelift car with just 7,200 miles on it. Done my due diligence and it all checks out. The age is probably hurting the value a bit but I cannot find anything else like it in the UK within £8,000 of what I am paying.

I'd love to know more about the history of the car, but it appears to have done about 6k miles in 4 years and then been laid up, venturing out to visit the MOT station and back. Brake discs are fine and the underside suggests it has been stored indoors.

Thing is I've just got out of a 330i which was on reflection cheap motoring as I only lost £3.5k on it in just under 5 years, but it did through up a few bills.

The Jag is going to lose a fair chunk regardless of the low mileage and is going to be a fair bit more to insure, so this is going to be a heart over head decision.

Just looking for some encouragement..... biggrin

If you're not paying a huge premium for the low mileage, and keeping it for a few years - you'll be OK.

My brother had one and my only criticism was that it was too slow and used too much fuel, but it was the 2.7.

How huge is huge? Does £2k more than a year older Premium Luxury (lower spec) with 41,000 miles seem reasonable?

Also found a 28,000 miler identical age and spec for £500 less, but it is at the other end of the country.
