VWFS lease takeover

Hi guys,
I'm looking to takeover someone's lease - there's a year left and it's a vehicle that is currently leased through VWFS on a personal deal.
VWFS have advised that they will only transfer the lease onto a Ltd company - I don't understand why when the original lease was on a personal deal!
Does anyone have previous on either taking over a lease or giving theirs up? Just wondering if they've always asked for it to be transferred onto a Ltd company or what.
