Hello

I've found two cars that I might be interested in buying but not sure which one would be the best choice overall..

Car 1 is a 2007 mx5 with 20k miles but seems to be standard spec

Car 2 is a 2007 mx5 with 37k miles but is much better spec ( leather heated seats, air con.. + options pack) but is £800 more expensive

Both cars have full service history

Are there any benefits to the lower mileage vs spec when it comes to selling up? I plan to keep the car for 4 years

thanks

With that amount/difference in mileage
Get the higher spec one.

If one was 35,000 and the other 60k or something...maybe I'd go mileage over spec...

By the time you sell I don't think mileage will be as important as condition - rust is, still, a thing on MX5s of that age and people will be far more worried about that. And, in any case, those are both still lightly used examples.

Thus I'd have the extra kit and live with the slightly higher number on the odo.

As others have said, go for the car with the higher spec. Try to haggle something off the price, so you feel better about making the decision. smile

The difference in mileage between the two cars certainly wouldn't be enough to put me off the higher mileage of the better equipped vehicle.
