Since when was a 30% discount and no interest not VFM?!
The pcp is just a means of funding it, and very reasonable too.
First place i checked for a lease was £524 per month on a 6+23 for an XJ 3.0d Auto Portfolio. Works out at £15,196 over the same timeframe and includes road tax.The pcp is just a means of funding it, and very reasonable too.

Either something's wrong with your numbers or you're not reading the deal right. The pcp is just a means of funding it, and very reasonable too.

£8k deposit and £299 pcm means £15176 over 2 years.£8k deposit and £299 pcm for 2years

A Jaguar XJ starts at £60k.
30% discount means it's down to £42k.
You have to pay your £15176 to PCP it
So, after two years, you have spent £632 per month for the whole deal and are left with nothing apart from a balloon payment for at least £27-odd grand or you hand it back.
This is not reasonable or VFM. You can lease something pretty tasty for £600 a month.....
I'm a fan of PCP but at the end of the day it's just fancy HP that let's you bail out. In this deal, they're giving you £18k off the car, letting you lay a big deposit then pay a small amount per month. After 2 years, you can bail.
It's no different to taking out a loan for £42000 over 5.5 years that you can bail out of after 2 years.
