Tell me I've done right

Hey guys,

Starting out with a new GF who wanted a car, all going well, but GF doesn't understand cars..

She has contacted a guy who has a car and offers to bring it over, alarm bells or what, he was coming 40 miles too selling a cat valued at £850 for £650 and willing to accept £550

I know walk...

Car arrives and looks decent, one or two problem i need advice on as I've told him to walk, but GF disagrees.

It looks like all the HT leads and coils pack have been replaced but there is a white grease around the engine bay, head looks fine and hasn't to what I could see being tapered with, his response was the leads had been greased.

2nd problem, car is running with heater on full and the top hose from the radiator has no pressure, flat as a fart, guy who reacons he is a mechanic opens radiator a bit and hose is OK, by the way the expansion bottle is just filthy water, but no mayo

I'm thinking bringing car to us the grease, the heater on and the flat hose are all a problem.

Any one out there help me to regain my credability in my relationship . and explain the probable issue

I'll even accept the fact i'm wrong, but if it feels too good ....
