Is E85 3.0 Z4 better driver's car than 2.2?
Discussion
Hey Guys
I'm trying to avoid buying a 986 Boxster due to all the issues they have. So test drove an E85 / 2005 2.2 Z4 (closest car). I cant understand how they are rated so highly? This is meant to be a two seater roadster / sports car. Its so quite I thought I stalled it a number of times. The steering feedback is woeful. When pushing on its so hard to tell whats going on with the front wheels. Whilst the brakes are strong same artificial / non-linear feel and again with the gear change. Whilst seats are comfortable not exactly supportive.
Its such a shame as the engine loves to rev and their appears to be decent grip. Its also does the trick of feeling quicker than it is well and carries speed well too. Build quality was also excellent but none of this matters due to the fundamentals being wrong.
So is the 3.0 significantly better in all areas or is it just more of the same but faster?
