Honda HRV Vs Multipla

Almost decided n am HRV as a family hack - anyone with any experience and which is the best model? I am leaning towards a 2.0 VTEC but not sure of trim level. Think they all have air con so no issue there and I prefer cloth.
What about the diesel? Meant to be a decent engine but I don't want issues and it will probably only do about 5k miles a year.
As a left field, are Multiplas any good reliability wise?

If you want 6 seats like a multipla and want a Honda try an FRV. I've had one for 18 months now and it's been great as a family car. I have a petrol 1.8 which is fine for darting around town dropping the children off at their clubs and school.
Check for sticking rear brake calipers and it's had a full service history as these have chain driven cams, so regular oil changes are a must.
I know you want a cloth interior but the leather on ours has been great at dealing with four boys and the dog.
