Audi Lease car Maintenance package
Discussion
Hello,
Long time lurker here, I'm about to get my first lease vehicle.
The lease company is suggesting that I take out a service plan at around £22 a month.
I'm told it's a special offer, covering, car service, tyres, and MOT etc.
However the deal is only 3 x 23 at 8K a year.
The car is not going to get hammered, and in all probability will not cover 16K by end of year 2.
So effectively thats about £530 over the plan; when all I'm gonna get is an oil change at year 1?
Reason I ask, is that Ive just called Audi Oxford who were not that helpful, and said look at the Audi web site...
Ive checked it and from what I can see, its an oil change at £164, after a year.
Im thinking just pay as I go along. I doubt it will even need new tyres by the end of my term.
Any differing views?
cheers

At 8k a year, I wouldn't bother with the maintenance plan myself at that cost. Would stick it in a saving account and pay as you go as you're unlikely to need any more than that oil change you mentioned if driven conservatively.
What car is it?
In the end placed the order minus the maintenance plan. Order confirmed this morning from the broker, just awaiting confirmation from Audi. What car is it?
Audi A5 sportback 2.0 TFSI Sport.
First lease, so hope it turns out well!
Cheers PPP,
Ironically I just missed out on the 4 series GC lease deals. Having test driven a 430D a month or so ago it was lovely, you will enjoy it.
However this deal popped up, so I decided not to dither. It's about 7 years since I've owned an Audi so i'm quite looking forward to it.
I might even go to the dealer over the weekend so I can see it in the flesh...
