When buying from a large dealership would it be reasonable to expect that advisory items on the last mot would be resolved, things like suspension bushes etc’

Depends. Most likely not - should be part of their multi point checks when theh take a car in for sale.

I would be using the MOT in price negotiation. Or at least try.
