I have decided that I am going to look at buying or leasing a Polo Gti, it fits all my needs, but I thought I would ask any owners of the car or VW's whether I would be better with a Manual or a Auto. I have only ever driven a Manual.

Also would anyone be able to give me any decent websites that lease these, other than VW?

Personally I would go for a manual. It suits the car much better. Also the DSG 'box isn't all that.

If it was an actual automatic rather than one of the awful DSG I would say auto however I doubt it is so my vote is manual.

The new Polo GTI isn’t out yet (I think it’s due in May), and only available in DSG initially with a manual to follow later. Leasing companies probably can’t quite just yet

Also worth noting that the auto car has lower torque compared to the manual gearbox because the 7 speed DSG-auto in the Polo cant handle the full output of the 1.8/2.0l engine.
