I've racked my brains and looked though every online review I can find but I am struggling to find something at a sensible price to replace my current leased Yeti when it has to go back next year.

The trouble is I have the L&K 1.4 TSI 4x4 version and it's a bit of a niche vehicle with this high spec

Things I love and want in my next car

SUV style (high driving position and easy access)
Bi Xenon or LED headlamps
Heated leather seats (half leather might be ok)
Heated front screen (this limits things a fair bit)
4x4
Sub 10s 0-60
40 mpg or close real world consumption
budget is flexible but as the Yeti was a bargain (<£170 pm) I expect to pay more next time but not silly amounts. Just need to find potential replacements first but if we say max list price of £30K.
Fun (ish) to drive (the Yeti is Surprisingly rather good for this kind of vehicle)
Can be petrol or diesel

Loads of things come close but not found anything that's quite right to replace the Yeti that's at least close to my budget anyway.

Any and all ideas very welcome

Seat Ateca Xcellence trim is the obvious choice but 4x4 diesel versions are expensive and the petrol is fwd only. The new Karoq is the same and all the current deals aren't on the high spec versions. The Mazda CX3 looks good but no heated screen (as per the CX5, Kia Sportage etc)
Right now the best fit is the Nissan Qashqai in Tekna trim 1.6 diesel with AWD. Can't get it within budget though (appears to be the case with all diesels right now)

Anything I'm overlooking that might fit the bill?

I went with my nan today to look at the q3.
She’s on the motorbilty scheme so can only get the sport trim however comes fully kitted out only thing really missing is the front sensors.
Like you she had a yeti before and found the q3 a nicer all round car.
Not sure on the price of a lease on one but they start at around 30k

New user in sensible first post shocker! thumbup

Seriously, Alex Z is right. If you love the car so much, get a purchase price for the Yeti from the lease company, and approach your bank for a loan (interest repayment rates on bank loans are SERIOUSLY low right now).

Run the Yeti for another 2 or 3 years, then decide whether you want to keep it forever and run it into the ground, or flog it and go back to leasing.

Win win.

New Karoq 1.4TSI on lease? Seen some deals for those going around and maybe you could get a similar spec to the yeti?

Love the Yeti, but want to try something else. Also don't want to buy but lease so not considering buying the Yeti - also VWFS aren't reknowned for offering up their lease vehicles at particularly appealing prices. So basiacally this isn't an option for me - however sound it may seem.

Good shout on the Q3, it's on my list (as is the Q2) and there may be some deals around as it gets replaced next year.

Q3 is crap on the interior front
Get a Tiguan. My mum got an SEL 1.4TSI through carwow at just under £30k completely loaded. Can get all the options you mentioned
She got metallic paint, powered boot, leather interior and reverse camera

SEL includes adaptive cruise, lane assist, pan roof, active info display (virtual cockpit from audi in a different frock), decent 8" sat nav system with android auto/apple car play, 19" wheels, really good LED headlights with the "coning" off of vehicles coming the other direction whilst leaving the rest of the road high beam (basically stolen matrix LED from audi) etc etc....

Have you seen the price of 66 plate Fiat 500X’s on Auto trader from Motorpoint?

Top of the range, xenons, 9 speed auto, 2.0 diesel and AWD. Basically a Jeep Renegade in a different frock.

Left field but might be worth a look.
