Hi all

I’m just looking around for Alpina B5’s in the F10 (10-17) generation and I can’t seem to find much on Autotrader. There is a nice one up for sale at a reasonable price but the astronomical miles put me off. I know these were a rare car so i guess it’s a long shot .. £15k+ for a E60 (03-10) gen B5 strikes me as a bit crap value so I’m looking for F10 B5/M5, Audi RS6 C6 or a tidy 09 on Jaguar XJR.

Ideally want a B5 Touring with the Professional navigation pack and a good sound system, with PDC+.

Does anyone know where to source these Alpinas as they seem very thin on the ground? Any Alpina specialists? Ideally under £20k but up to £30k depending on the part exchange value of my car. I think the £20-30k budget is reasonable considering I’m not looking for a particular age, under 60k miles and the fact that a relative paid £20,000 for a 2014 520d in boggo spec and a decent 535i is £28,000.

Cheers

Sytner's are the official UK Alpina supplier and have 12 cars for sale, but the only petrol '5 is brand new.

According to the every unreliable 'How Many Left' there are only 4 B5s registered in the whole country, so not surprising there are none for sale.

Have you tried the Alpina Register forum? They usually have a very good handle on what's around and what a realistic budget is.

If you are looking for a B5 touring you may be in for a wait and don’t even try to compare he prices of B5’s to a 520 or 535!
There are a total of 11 B5 touring sold in the U.K. from 2005 to 2016 so if you find one for sale Chances are there won’t be another popping up anytime soon! Alpina tend to be driven so you are unlikely to find a low mileage older e61 based car, and if you did it won’t be cheap.
Here are the sales figures for U.K. cars courtesy of the Alpina register site.

Wow they are much much rarer than I thought.
Might jump on the one on Autotrader then! It’s a 2011 B5 saloon.
