Buying F30 BMW 330D help needed!
Discussion
I'm currently looking to buy a relatively new (c. 20k mileage) 330d m-sport as a long term family car. I have set a budget of £19k and would be looking to buy approved used, i have seen a couple that fit the profile, one in particular is under 17k miles and is within my budget at about £18.5k. I'm currently having it moved by stratstone to my location but it seems the price is below both the autotrader and parkers expected dealership selling price.
Is there any reasons as to why dealers would do this or am i just overthinking!? I'm completely inexperienced about buying cars so was hoping that approved used would make this easier but would appreciate any advice!

Before any of that, what year is it? If you are buying a 330d it would be best to get the LCI version (LCI = Life Cycle Impulse - i.e. update). It will have improved suspension, among several other changes. That occurred around 2015 if I am correct.

It's a 15 plate registered in July not sure if that would be before lci or not?http://ukcar.reviews/bmw-3seriessaloon-f30-lci-rev...

Very cheap for an LCI 330d - is it poor spec or something?
It is just the standard msport package with business sat nav etc so not particularly specced, But given the mileage and the price it looks like decent value no?Also bearing in mind I'm coming from a 1.4l polo I'm looking more for the drive!
We bought a MINI Cooper S 4 years ago from a Main Dealer for at least 10% less than an independent. After we'd picked it up, the salesman said they'd had it in stock for their maximum time and were just about to auction it after price dropping it over a few weeks.
After 4 years of ownership it's been excellent.

Spoke to the dealer and he confirmed that it is a Pre-LCI model albeit late in the production cycle so does that mean it will have some of the updates? I guess i'm not too fussed about it given that it wasn't something i was previously aware of and it still feels like a good deal. What are people's thoughts? Thanks for the input so far!

Unless you have had a succession of the same or similar models, I suspect you're not really going to know the difference of a few bits and pieces of spec (that will probably soon be out of date anyway). Just enjoy the saving I say. Toon_Bronco said:

They are mostly coming back from Alphabet (BMW) all still under manufactures warranty so why pay a premium?
