I'm interested in a car which was bought by a "Private" Trader from Mercedes Finance after it was repossessed.
Needless to say the V5 hasn't been updated with the new owner.
Does anyone have a contact at Merc Finance so that I can start my Due Diligence on the vehicle.

Cheers

NB - guy was up front saying he is starting out in buying and selling cars and I am going in with my eyes wide open since car is out of warranty etc etc.

If he is a trader his name wouldnt be on the V5

Do a Hpi check that should tell you what you need to know

The main thing has it got the current V5 and both keys? A full HPI can check the V5 is the latest. As lots of cars are repossessed or plainly handed back I would be more concerned that the dealer has mentioned it.

Apart from this it is the same as buying any other car.

As for MBFS giving you anything other than the time, good luck!

HPI is essential - make sure you are not buying a car that may be snatched from you.
