Help buying a 320d 2011 m sport

Can anyone help me in things to look for in buying a 320d m sport 2011 coupe and things that are prob to fail

Don't buy a 4 cylinder diesel BMW before you have read up on the N47 cam chain failures. BMW claims to have sorted these catastrophic failures, but the reports continue on the forums. If you need one, buy a 2013 or later - rumour has it that BMW uprated some components again from 2013 and there are fewer reported failures of the later cars.

Personally, I'd buy a 6 cylinder diesel 3 series instead. It's a nicer engine design and they are more rewarding to drive.
