I went from an E46 M3 to a Skoda Octavia vRS to try and keep the running costs down a bit, however the vRS wasn't really exciting for what I wanted, so I imported an S15 which I'd really fancied for a rather long time.

Now that the S15 is here, I feel like having the vRS as a daily is feeling a little bit pointless. I'm more than happy with just having one fun car and one cheap car.

I do very little miles in either car (don't want the S15 as a daily for many reasons) so I don't really think a diesel is ideal, maintenance costs are more important to me than fuel costs which are pretty much irrelevant. I don't need a huge amount of space, but I've found the fact that the vRS's boot is the size of a small house very handy at times.

Any recommendations? Here's what I have my eye on at the moment, ideally budget is £2k max:
Toyota Corolla 1.6 T-Spirit (or similar)
Honda Accord 2.4
Honda Civic 1.8

I've had a lot of success with Jap reliability after owning a Toyota Yaris T-Sport previously and would love to have some hassle-free motoring for a while!

Cheers guys.

I've heard good things about the Toyota Auris and it's updated and better looking than the Corolla
