What would you recommend? I have a dodgy left knee due to injury otherwise I would get another RS Clio but the clutch kills me. I need to carry a lot of stuff every now and the too -so ideally a boot space of upwards of 900 litres with seats down woudl be cool.
What fast hatches do you know that have pretty easy clutches?

Thanks mate- I always fancied one after my clio 172. How are the clutches on these?

Clutches on the 197/200 arent particularly heavy at all, i went from 182 to the 200 and it was noticeably light, although saying that i didnt really like much from the change except the styling, and the gear boxes are chocolate...

Maybe just get the GTI DSG, the EP3 never did it for me personally but the FN2 does just fall into your price range

It's a last resort. I did have a go in a Golf GTI with DSG and it just didn't float my boat. I didn't take it far though. I just don't enjoy driving autos nearly as much. If I can find an easy clutch then that will be fine.

I had a GTI with DSG, I found it fun for about a month, then the novelty of pressing a button to change gear wore off. I found it incredibly boring after that.

The problem is it sounds like you might need an auto.

My FN2 Type R had a light clutch, and it was practically a van with the rear seats folded flat.
