Civic Tourer 1.8 Petrol
Discussion
Hi,
I currently have a 1.8 Civic mk8, which I really like (other than the harsh ride). With two kids we now need more boot space, and I really like the look of the Civic tourer. We would be looking at a 1.8 Petrol due to a mileage of approx 10k a year, with a budget of 10-12k. Does anyone currently have one that can pass on their opinion? I would be keen to know what the ride is like, if its anything like my mk8 I think we would look at other options.
Cheers

What size wheels do you have on your mk 8, OP? I had a 2006 with 17" wheels and found the ride poor. I would expect one running the 16" wheels to be an improvement - not brilliant, but maybe acceptable.I currently have a 1.8 Civic mk8, which I really like (other than the harsh ride). If I were in your position, I would go and try one out.

I have 16's on it, Its acceptable but as the next car will be used for longer journeys (with 2 kids in it) I am looking for something a little more comfortable. If I were in your position, I would go and try one out.

I had an 06 1.8SE on 16's (for nearly 9 years). Terrible ride. And odd tyre size which was needlessly expensive. If I were in your position, I would go and try one out.
Suspect that, as the new estate shares the similar visual issue of wheels having to fit neatly inside the slab sided arches, it may be the same. Please report back post test drive op!
