Personalised car buying videos from dealers?
Discussion
This has never happened to me when I was test driving new cars in 2016. Is this recent?
I tested a new Nissan Leaf about 2 weeks ago and the salesperson just emailed me with a personalised video (i.e. starting the video saying my name, with the car in the showroom and reminding me of the benefits of the model I tested)
I've enquired about a Mini for a test drive but not had the chance to book it in yet, and the dealer just sent a personalised video by text message, showing me the model that I originally enquired about and reminding me of how to contact them.
It feels quite nice. Is every brand doing this now?

It's a fairly recent thing.
It's great for the consumer.
If they miss describe the car in the video it's your proof that it's miss described.
Traveled to buy a motor recently that they described as having no scratches or dents, for me to see quite a few small scratches and dents when I got there.
I got the usual answer "well, it is a used car" and "it doesn't matter if you don't want to buy it"
Er no!! I've traveled 3 hours to get here, train fare etc... and your video clearly states "no scratches or dents"
A quick threat to call VW head office and they sorted a price reduction to allow for the damage.
