Which small-ish cars can you drive in your wellies?!!

My horse-owning OH wants something more economical than her current 3-door RAV4 2.0 petrol.

One interesting criterion for the new car is that it must be drivable in wellies (size 5) She'd also want something a bit smaller than the RAV, but this often means a more cramped footwell - hampering said welly access!

Room in the back for a bale of hay would also be useful....

Any ideas??

If the missus doesn't mind an automatic gearbox, cars with two pedals generally have more room in the footwell.

I like autos for many reasons, one being that I can drive in any kind of shoes (I'm a UK 11, and often wear hiking boots).

I was gonna say this, but even a manual, all the controls are actually spaced out fairly well, bit like a van, I can drive it in my size 8 steelies fine. A lot of owners take the back seats out, interior isn't massive but due to its shape there is a lot of useable space, folks will build you a pickup conversion too.
