Has anyone ordered one of these? There was a suggestion on one of the threads in GG that lead times were several months..
Really quite fancy one as a buzz about.

I ordered one and was told 12 weeks, it then went to 26 weeks but I couldn't wait that long. I've since heard it may have gone up to 30+ weeks!

When I asked a VW dealer about a month ago I was told 26 weeks, so I can only imagine it's longer than that now.

Shame, because if the lead time was more sensible they would have had a sale.

Judging by the lead times being talked about on the Up! forum, if you ordered one today, you’d be lucky to see it by Christmas!

I ordered one on 6th March and have a provisional build w/c 20th August. There has been some rumours that if you order one now you won't get it this year, but I've no idea how true that is.

Crikey, seems like they're going to take a while to come through. I suspect I'd lose interest over that lead time - shame.

It’s definitely a frustration for those who are trading in or are replacing their current car. I’m not so I plan just to forget I’ve ordered one and it’ll be a nice surprise come September!

Sounds like a good plan - bit like booking a holiday way in advance, it's always great when it does come round.
