The Mrs requires some new wheels.....
Requirements are :

£17k budget
Heated front seats
Climate
Auto lights
Auto Wipers
less than 2 years old
Must be able to fit a decent sized pushchair in the boot
She only covers about 3k per year so MPG is of no real consideration

You will want a petrol to avoid DPF issues at this mileage

Mazda CX5 is nice
https://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201...

However this example looks a little bit grim in the boot area

Qashqai
https://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201...
Engine is probably a little lethargic at 115bhp though to lug all this car around
1.6 version maybe better
https://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201...

I would also suggest Audi Q3 but the interior is pathetically dated

Skoda Yeti biggrin

https://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201...

Hyundai Tucson

https://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201...

VW Tiguan old gen is a little dated now compared to the new one wouldn't suggest one of those

Ford C-Max

https://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201...

Out of these I would personally take the CX5 or the Yeti

Thanks for the reply.

The CX-5 is a good shout.....

She won't own anything Skoda either unless I'd have her in a Octavia VRS tomorrow !

I'd be looking at these:

Kuga

Titanium X Sport

https://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201...

Titanium X

https://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201...

Sportage GT Line

https://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201...

V40 Cross Country Pro

https://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201...

Kadjar Signature Nav

https://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201...

Mini Countryman

https://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201...

Or go for a swift estate (this is where I'd be looking)

ST-2

https://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201...

CLA 180

https://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201...

Seat Leon Cupra

https://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201...

Mondeo Vignale: this would be the one I'd buy (in fact I did buy one) swift loads of space/kit (heated/air cooled seats etc) & finally a nice punchy engine as well as being better built than a Qashqai/Kadjar.

308 GT Line

How many kids/ ages/ how long you keeping it?

Not stalking, lol, all a factor as to how big a boot you need now, which as they grow becomes slightly less important, and what you need is rear leg room so the fkers don't kick you in the back the whole time.

Qashqai a disappointingly good compromise on all of this. There's a reason it sells so well.

Yeti boot ste. Amazed it fits a tin of werthers most owners require on the way to the national trust cafe.

If you have a double buggy where a lightweight one is cheaper than a new car, they're really heavy, and all faux 4x4's have high floors.

There are many 30 something women who will have a lifetime of back pain because they succumb to fashion rather than the logic of a low floored MPV, which would be infinitely more practical, but lacks the apparent cool factor.

BMW 2AT?

This one in particular is a 2014 car, but seems to be loaded with kit as well as being cheaper than the above:

We are just getting rid of ours to move up to an Xtrail, the boot in the Qashqai is a joke. The Xtrail is a lot better if she does not mind the vehicle size, the higher spec ones come with nice 360 cameras for ease of parking etc.
Ours is the 1.6 petrol Dig T which has good power but lacks low down torque.
