PCP Trim Query
Discussion
After deciding I was getting out of the finance loop and buying a shed for 1500 quid, three weeks of fruitless searching and being pointed out by some on here that owning an old performance car can be expensive, I'm now pricing up PCP.
This week only, Fiat are offering a massive contribution on PCP on a Spider 124 of around 5k.
Arnold Clark has the following deal: base trim Classica RRP 21050 Fiat Deposit 5300 23 months 999 deposit 179pcm GFV 10625 (202 amortized). Trim up (lusso) is 269pcm 4.7% interest 999 deposit 7.5k GFV which is not at all attractive.
CarWow is showing me an offer for the trim up (Lusso):
RRP 23800 OTR is 17374. I suppose this means that is likely to be around 50 quid a month more expensive (have inquired as to PCP deal). It gives me heated leather over cloth, touchscreen, automatic climate control, and some other things.
I would like heated leather and the touchscreen but probably not for 50 quid a month. My question was whether some of the extra paid would be recouped by a higher resale value down the line (so potentially more equity) ? I know that options don't tend to add to resale price but I think heated leather and a touchscreen will make it much easier to sell.
Seems to be 2016 Classicas are 14k and Lussos are 15k (which is mental given brand new OTR is 15k and 17.3k - much cheaper to finance brand new than nearly new).
