Currently looking into purchasing my first car over here in the UK for a daily run-a-bout commuter. Since I'm on a relatively tight budget, I've been looking into super-mini hot hatches as a fun, spirited and lively car. I've narrowed my search down to either a Daihatsu Sirion SL/Rally 2 or a Suzuki Ignis Sport, although I'm keeping my options open as I know there are others out there.

I'm realizing that these things are a bit harder to find, so anyone have any suggestion on where to find a used one for sale?

Need to know your budget as that helps narrow things down.

Love the cars and thanks for the response, but they're a little out of budget

Haggle man bring cash with you & everyone of those should be able to be purchased for your budget, especially on that corsa (price up a new vent & grille) & I reckon £1800 lands it.

Twingo 133s are coming down to that price and would be my choice or another one is a yaris 1.8sr or 1.5 t sport.

Don't you think the Corsa is already priced accordingly? Trying to get a £700 discount seems like a piss take to me on an already cheap car.

OP, with your low budget I'd be looking at the swift sport and yaris t sport. Cheap thrills and shouldn't have rattled themself apart like the ignis sports will have by now.

Twingo RS prices are crashing. Get on the Facebook group and people can't shift them.

Thanks for the suggestions! Although, I'm looking for places to find these types of cars? Like Gumtree, ebay, etc. Are there any websites or dealers that are worth looking into for these types of cars?

At this price point you're maybe best off looking privately. Facebook marketplace is worth a look. But suss the vendors out as a load of adverts are for poorly maintained nails that some driveway trader is trying to flip.

Twingo 1.2 tce also worth a look at this money.

I think it's due to the fact that no one knows about them and aftermarket wise they are poorly supported also cambelt changes are pricey same as 172/182. I will be buying another one as soon as funds are available.

No I don't £1800 is a best but I'd pay no more than 2k for it as I can already see a few things cosmetically that need sorting, which means his phone will not be ringing of the hook therefore he'll be incentivised to sell.

Interesting...

I've been looking at these for a while and hoping they'd come down a bit - they seem to be one of the very few properly small cars available.

I'm surprised there's not more love for them.

Would you be able to post a link to the facebook group for those of us not actually on FB?

They are small but very practical I am also 6'3 and have no issues with being comfortable. My car has 75k and no issues other than wear and tear items really. Parts are not as easy to get hold of but if you know where to look thay ain't bad. They are better on smaller rims on our toads also. I don't have fb so don't know where to point you. Twingo 133. Net is OK but not much traffic

I bought an Ignis last year.
Rock hard ride over speed bums, very tinny but pretty good fun on the twisties.
Rear brake calipers were about £250 a side, and difficult if not impossible to get any cheaper. Because its such a rare car, Suzuki parts are a fortune.
Go for the swift sport or fabia VRS

Ah, apologies, I should have quoted Furberger's post in case he got an alert! Thanks for the website link, I'll take a look, and for the feedback!
