A friend contacted them, and they did reply saying you can't view the cars as they are in secure storage, so it's delivery only on a car, and upon delivery, if your not happy then they will refund. It all smells a bit to me.

Domain is only 4 weeks old and registered abroad.
Has any one got any dealings with this company.

Their suggested way of doing business seems to have a lot in common with the scammers, so even if they're not scammers, they may not be very successful.

Then again, if it walks like a duck....... smile

UK Registered Company, husband and wife directors, flatbed parked outside the house on Streetview! What's not to like?! biggrin

No viewing/delivery only/new site/strange 01162 number should normally be for Leeds and not Manc. Maybe their yard is in Leeds? Pictures of cars not in one location. Seem to be jumble from everywhere or stolen car pictures and details.

That website has the air of "My mates kid does a bit of web design"

Nobody sells anything at less than half its market value if its any good, Repossessions can offer a saving but not like 2014 Jags for 7 grand.

They've repeated the first 'paragraph' twice on the about us page. Definitely a bunch of con men.

It's a scam. I've seen variants of this scam pop up every few months for the last few years.

Often the scammers use a company name that's similar to an existing trustworthry company.

Sometimes the papers run a story about people who got sucked in.

A number of the 3+ year old cars listed have advertised mileage that's considerably less than what was recorded at the last MoT.
Check for yourself on the .gov MoT database:
https://www.check-mot.service.gov.uk/

The website is hosted in Malaysia - not that unusual to host stuff offshore though I suppose.

The domain registration seems a bit odd too.

I seem to recall something like this cropping up a couple of years ago - I suspect that "D Autos LTD" probably don't even know this website exists.

Yes, complete scam. All of the pictures are farmed from dealer sites etc. You just need to search the registrations on Cazana to see cars they have advertised for much much more money.

Avoid like the plague.

They have a Merc listed here

If you look at the URL it implies it's an estate (but the advertised car isn't...)

And then I found an exact image match (alas, car is sold on genuine site)

Image as grabbed from the fake site:

They’ve also nicked the text from...

https://www.repossessions-uk.com/

I always find that scammers are too lazy to come up with their own words so can often google a sentence/paragraph to show as such!

I know the thread is a bit old now, but virtually all the repos from finance companies are sold via the usual auction sites into trade buyers.

Bailiff repo cars to settle a debt will usually be sold through the nearest auction site to the collection location.
POCA seizures will either be scrapped or sold at dedicated sites like http://www.charlestaylor.co.uk/

Given that the original website is defunct already, scam is likely confirmed. Take a few dozen deposits for non-existent cars, and disappear.
