Potential purchase help - Coventry

Hi all, looking to buy TT mk2 3.2v6 and found one in Coventry that fits the bill. Because I'm in Scotland its obviously not possible for me to just go and have a look at it and surprisingly dealers are really not particularly helpful over the telephone or email. I mean I had all my questions answered but it felt like they prefer to deal with local people and walk ins rather than proactively sell the car to customer from afar when I enquired about it. I could walk away but like the car, service history checks out and spec is what I'm looking for.

So is anyone in Coventry area that could do me a favour and pop round and have a look at the car? Just want honest, unbiased opinion re condition and if its as good as the dealer claims it is. Test drive would be ideal but I realise that they may not entertain someone test driving it with no intention to buy. Quick look around the car to confirm its clean, brakes are not shot etc would be enough I guess for me to commit to 5hrs train journey.

There are some garages in Coventry that are a little dubious (like most places i guess)

IF it's the red one at Evans Halshaw then it looks in order with an ok MOT history etc.

But they don't get glowing reviews - in common with many EH branches I guess.

Plenty of threads on here about EH. I've had a car from the Bedford branch and don't think I would bother again (slow, disorganised from start to finish, car wasn't cheap but had its issues).

Of course it may not be the one at EH/or it may well be and you're happy to take a punt anyway.

Its not the EH one. Another dealer and hopefully Jon will have a look at it today at some point so already sorted. Many thanks for advice and as usual community spirit on PH never ceases to amaze me...
