Moved to Switzerland for a while, and am having a beyond first world problem that I would like some advice on!

My car history is:

mkiv Supra
SL55 AMG
E92 M3 coupe
V8 Vantage (4.3)

I "made it" to the Aston as my "dream car" but sold it when moving to Switzerland as it would be a pain to have the steering wheel on that side tbh. Was going to buy one when I got here but there are only 3 within my budget and none of them are the colour I want. Seems all people drive autos here. A little annoying.

Anyway, I sold the Aston and have depleted my house deposit (house sold) and moved the finances to Switzerland. I am 34 and I suppose don't want to invest the £40k and have a st car. I'd rather save up as I go, but have a nice car here in Switzerland as cars are a big thing for me.

However, choosing something is hard. There are not many newer Caymans or Boxsters even, in the sub 60,000 CHF budget (about £43k), or 911s, and so I have been looking at Corvette Z06 C6 and the Stingray C7 but not sold on them, then the F-type which I drove recently and really got under my skin. I like the newer interior and I do like useless comforts such as decent stereo for longer journeys and general modern guff. The Aston never really felt old on the inside and was a really nice car to drive. I had the prodive exhaust so it sounded mental as well.

I have also considered the Lotus Evora but again, there are almost none here. There's a sexy F-type V8 R over in Geneva which is miles from me and absolute max budget, but it does seem to have every option: https://goo.gl/GNdWmS

Other option would be a convertible of some kind as there is nice weather here. Boxster possible, but I literally see about 10 Porsches per day here, not that it matters.

I miss my Aston frown

Advice/tips/suggetsions/etc welcomed.

Sensible head says invest money and that i don't even *need* a car here as the trains work, but I do like driving and though I intend on learning how to ride a motorbike this year, I would still like the comfort of a car as trips to Germany are likely and also general life... it's bloody nice to have a car and V8s won't be around so much in 10 years.

This one is simple, you have the whole of Europe to choose from so go on Ebay.eu & you'll have a better choice to pick from cheap flights mean although you may have to take a couple of days off just think of the drive home once you've purchased the car you want.

Very true and valid, but even when searching the whole of Europe there are not many Vantages, or even F-types in decent spec that I would consider.

Part of the “problem” is not knowing what I want. I know what I like, though:

Loud exhausts
V8 (generally but wouldn’t have to be)
RWD (ruled out GTR and R8 as though capable I just don’t fancy one)

... and some creature comforts as I would like to use it in winter and on longer journeys without wishing I was in an S500.
