I'm getting a brand new lease car delivered later today....

What do I need to know / do with my new car ? ie running in, fuel etc etc

It's a Ford Kuga Titanium...

Any tips / hints / advice would be gratefully received !

Without wanting to be facetious, the steps I would advise (and follow when I get a new car) are;

1. Check there is no damage upon arrival
2. Check there is some fuel
3. Drive it

You really needn't worry about much else.

Not facetious at all Nick.

I'm concerned that I might miss something glaringly obvious !!

All as above, except one other point.

Check any optional extras are present!

I can't emphasise this one enough, never assume the spec will be as you've ordered.

A friend took delivery of a new lease car last year and had ordered it with lane assist/cruise control, only to later find out it wasn't fitted. It then took nearly a year of battling with the lease company, finance company and manufacturer for them to finally replace the car with what was ordered.

Other than that you should just check for the usual body / windscreen / tyre damage before accepting the car.
