I'm trying to get a newer car for the Mrs under some very specific criteria.

These are:

Must be keyless

Can't be too big - Suzuki Swift size is ideal

Must be 5 doors

Petrol

Not too slow

Budget up to £9k absolute tops

So far my shortlist consists of a Suzuki Swift Sport and thats it.

I've been looking for a while and none have come up nearby. Those that are sensibly priced seem to sell quickly before I can arrange to travel to see them. What else should I be looking at?

Why does it have to be keyless?

My sentiments above. What's the need for keyless and are we talking keyless-entry or keyless-start, or both?

Unless it's something medical, it seems like a fairly picky way of limiting yourself to some otherwise decent choices and options.

Fiesta Titanium/X can be had with keyless go, ditto Skoda Fabia SEL, Nissan Juke Tekna (too big perhaps?) and most Renault Clio models including the RS200.

MK3 Clio 200 is a good shout. The MK4 200T's are coming down in price now too, for something a bit more live-able and less frantic but still fun.

Mrs loves being able to walk up to it and open the door without having to look for a key.

Women don't really have pockets as such, you see hehe

Just to add. Never buy your Mrs a keyless car as you'll be limiting yourself for ever more.

A petrol Audi A1 could be added to that too I would think.
