Hi there,

I am looking to purchase a second-hand (2006 or 2007) Toyota Corolla D-4D 2.0 Colour Collection 5dr for between £2,000 and £3,000.

Could anyone shed some light on potential issues/problems with this car that I should be aware of?

In particular, I am looking for advice on what to look out for when going to view these cars?

Would anyone happen to be aware of a buyer’s guide for this specific car?

Any other advice or guidance you might be able to provide would be most appreciated.

Many thanks,
Ed

id have a look on a dedicated forum if i were you mate. generally speaking they have a great reputation but thats a bad price point to buy at. id go for a 1k car that you can happily scrap if it goes t1ts up early doors or spend 5k+ and get something super low mileage and mint. lots of people sell dross at 2-3k that they cant afford to fix or scrap.

The Toyota diesel has built up a nice reputation for being very unreliable.

Well according to the internet I have 2 of the most unreliable cars ever made - a Landrover Discovery and a Toyota Auris 2.2 D-Cat diesel. Both have been totally reliable which is a bit weird.
