Hi All,

I'm pursuing the idea of swapping my 420d M Sport for a Caterham and a runaround. Any suggestions on the runaround car? Looking around £2000 cheap to run and maintain but also a little bit fun, was looking at the Panda 100hp or Mini Cooper S. Any interest in my 4 series let me know as well biggrin

Thanks very much.

I can vouch for the panda 100hp. Fantastic car! It isn’t the fastest, but the engine has bags of character that you dont really care. The steering is very pointy, and the front end super direct. It reminds me of a go kart. Gear change is also great. They’re put together surprisingly well for a cheap supermini, there’s loads of space inside for how small it is, and it was completely reliable in the 2 years/23k miles I had it. Have a Clio 182 Trophy now which is a much faster, serious piece of kit, but for day to day driving the panda matches it in the fun/giggling department. Would definitely recommend trying one!
