I've been looking and racking my brain for the past month or so looking through classifieds on here, forums and carsandclassics, but just want to get a few other suggestions for car ideas.

I currently have an A5 on lease and a E36 323i (auto) but the Audi is going back soon. I want something to replace it and in 2 minds. Keep the BMW as a daily and get something fun for weekends and occasional track days or get rid of the BMW and get something between fun and daily, maybe still a little odd however.

I have had a S14a and MX-5 so not bothered about another MX-5 but if I could find a stock S14a manual or S15 I would definitely jump.

My budget is probably £8k but for the perfect car would go to £10k. I've thought of 350Z, GTST, Subaru, Cosmo, DC5, MR2 MK1&2, Boxster and S2k.

I feel like a decent S2K may end up costing a bit too much for a decent one and a bit put off by the boxsters potential cost for the 986 engine issues.

Any other suggestions that people can throw out that might fit would be greatly appreciated.

I think you can still get a decent VX220 for £8k?

GT86, maybe? I'd rate the mk3 MR2 over the mk1 or mk2.

VX220 is a great suggestion to look at, I thought they were more in the Elise price range. GT86 sounds like a great car but after having the A5, as odd as this sounds I've got a bit bored of the newer cars, it would be a bit inbetween, and I guess it depends on the drive which is probably drastically different. The MR2 is strictly a vein reason, I'm just not a fan of the look of the mk3
