Hi all first time posting.

I have just finished university and have inherited a fair bit of money from a family bereavement and would like to use some for my first car.
I am looking to use this to purchase my first car and can pay all using money - not finance as this could add a few grand unnecessarily.
I have had my licence for three years and am 21 so insurance has thankfully come down quite a bit. On these cars i am looking at about £700-1000 depending on car and thankfully not many want black box - i shall be avoiding that even if it costs more.

I have been looking at evans halshaw and have found a few used cars which interest me.
Citroen C3 - £11000 - 17 reg, 500 miles
DS3 - £12000 - 18 reg, 50 miles

have also spotted some older cars from 2011/2012 such as a citroen ds3 with 40,000 miles for £6000 and various vauxhalls/ford for about the same.

Is it worth paying the extra for the newer cars over older models considering i really like these cars or is their any advice/stuff I should know about? Is evans halshaw a good dealer to be looking at?

Thanks for any replies.
