New Polo GTI+ (2018)
Discussion
Made some enquiries for a factory order Polo GTI+, spec'd how we'd like it, got some indication of prices which seemed reasonable and was absolutely astounded when I asked about lead times...
40 weeks if I order today! 19th March 2019!!!! Does that sound ridiculous or not? As above, I couldn't believe it and thought he was taking the mick..

Almost all new VAG cars have similarly ridiculous lead times, it seems It's pretty shocking at current. Try and find one in stock of you really want one ASAP, that would be my advice. That would require going with whatever options it may or may not have on there, maybe even a standard spec car.
Either that or look at something else.

Do people really wait 9 months for a car? I am actually shocked VAG sell any cars if you are expected to wait 9 months. If you need a car you need it pretty quickly, I just can't imagine placing an order for a car that I didn't need for 9 months.Either that or look at something else.
I lose interest in things very quickly, I wouldn't want the car anymore before it had even turned up.
