Volkswagen Golf MK7 or Ford Focus mk3.5

Looking at buying a new car in the next few weeks.

Option 1 - VW Golf 13 plate GT 1.4 TSI 48k £10600
Option 2 - 65 plate Ford Focus Titanium Ecoboost 30k £8495.

Which would you go for ?

I love the Golf and the way it looks etc but the Focus is a really nice car too. The focus is obviously £2k cheaper for a newer car but it won’t hold its value as well as the golf.

I can get a SE Golf a bit cheaper but I like how the GT looks and the extra power it has over the lesser model.

Focus everytime, depreciation at that time of life isn't going to make any difference.

Both are great cars

If budget is key then the focus wins but i personally would prefer the golf the 1.4 tsi is a peach
