This very much trumps the 2k Clio thread...

I missed bidding on this by two minutes as got stuck in traffic on way home. So did anyone on here buy a £1500 Twingo 133? If so I hate you...

That's a bit negative ,could be a massive bargain if it's not borked. But if you wanna drag him back to the land of "OH MY f
kING CHRIST, WHAT A MASSIVE MISTAKE I'VE MADE, I MIGHT AS WELL KILL MYSELF RIGHT NOW" be my guest

No, it shows a similar ad - if you read the banner right at the top it says 'listing no longer available'
Just had a look at the old ad - OP, that looks wayyy too good to be true. it sold for £1500 - it looks spotless.
I know [sobs into beer], looked lovely. Looking for a low (ish) mileage small car and this would have been ideal. Still, sure something will turn up; plus Swansea is hardly round the corner for me so saved myself a train trip.Just had a look at the old ad - OP, that looks wayyy too good to be true. it sold for £1500 - it looks spotless.
Reached 2k on 14th June so most likely a dunger.

Look what's appeared at double the price at a dealers. Someones trying to make a big profit from their fifteen hundred quid purchase.
Oh well, won't be buying this even though this is very reasonable price still.

Would you recommend one? Want a small commuter (18 miles a day max) but that will still be fun if want to take the longer route home.
Yes definitely! I have had mine for over 5 years now and the only car that has lasted more than 2 years as I have never got bored of it.
It's been totally reliable same as the 172/182 make sure the belts and pulleys have been done. The bottom arms are a Renault part only and we're expensive but I believe the price has come down a bit.
I am 6"3 and find mine totally comfortable and can get 40 mpg.
There are a few different versions, standard 133, 133 with cup pack, 133 cup (what I have) 133 gordini (most toys and leather) and sliverstone limited edition.
133 cup has no aircon, 2 speaker cd player, bench rear seat that doesn't slide (all others have 2 single seats that slide) and is the lighter more focused drivers car. The gordini is probably better commute car.
Mine is no longer standard and is being built into a rally car but I have not managed to find a worthy daily so will probably end up with another later on in the year. My car has a thread in reader's rides called the Forgotten Renault Sport it may be of interest.
Feel free to ask any questions.
Thanks avenger, cracking answer with lots of detail. I'm not as tall as you so height not an issue but I do have wide, size 12 feet. So boring practicality question but any issues with pedals too close?
I'd spotted a decent looking one but it had failed MOT every year on lamda emissions (before passing same day so presume a warm up was helping second time round). Seems like a fairly common issue?

If you click on the word listing it takes you to the listing - its just ebays way of trying to get you to buy something else instead. Just had a look at the old ad - OP, that looks wayyy too good to be true. it sold for £1500 - it looks spotless.
