Buying a bike remotely - how to deal with V5?

Hi,

I'm buying a motorbike today sight-unseen. I know that this is fairly common practice now, but I've not done it myself before.

I've arranged for a courier to collect it and I'll be transferring the funds when the courier arrives at the property.

Does anyone know how you handle signing over the V5 in these situations?

The seller fills it out giving the courier the green slip or they send you the by green slip (this is how I've done it) recorded delivery, but not before emailing me scanned copies of the documents & then scanned copies of the recorded delivery slips.
