Hello all.

Been down my local Mercedes dealership and they have quoted me on top of the car price a Delivery pack for £954. I asked what this is and was vaguely told it was to do with getting car to the UK.

I would have thought this would have been included in the price of a new car not a compulsory extra charge. Does anyone else know anymore about what this charge actually is and is it negotiable?

You pay a delivery charge on all new cars but this should be included in the OTR price of the car.

Sounds more like they are adding GAP/paint protection/alloy insurance/etc when really that should be all explained nice and clearly.

Hi thanks for reply.

No it's not the gap/tyre/paint insurance, paint protection or the road reg/tax fee as they are all quoted separately.

Interestingly rang up some other mercedes garages and they aren't sure either.

There is a couple of pages on google about a delivery charge of £635 so i wonder if it is this?

They mention being effective from 01 June 2018
