Hello all,
As topic says, it's about AMGs from Mercedes Benz.
I had couple people from MB US saying that best cars to go for is AMGs that as those dont lose money so much, is that the case?
Also had offer from MB for C63 Premium Cabriolet (outgoing model) + night pack = which is 2018 march reg, for 6k down + 620 a month for 2 years then baloon 37k, looks like auto trader shows them around 55-65k mark depending how used you want such car.
Also geard that SUV seem to keep their value on 63 models and also new E class 53 /63s?
Thanks

I'm not entirely clear on what the question is, but hopefully some numbers might help.
According to what you've lain out, the agreement would be for you to pay £20,880 for 2 years' use. At the end, you could buy the vehicle for a further £37k. It's not clear what the interest (APR) is, but the total amount payable would be £57,880.
In isolation, it looks like a very large sum for 24 months of depreciation / vehicle use - although about 1/3rd depreciation over 2 years isn't unusual.
I don't know about the car itself, but I'd suggest you consider whether £58k (including financing costs for 2 years, with a break option at the end of those 2 years) is competitive for a pre-registered model when compared to other forms of financing.

APR is 5.4% on that deal.
Question really is how good actually those AMG hold value? I was told that SUV amgs are best value for dollar due to high demand and good value holding if you buy outright after and sell on.
For example 2 year old AMG c63 with approx 15k miles on clock goes for 55k on auto trader and if my total payable over 2 years is 57k then in after selling car for 55k I only will have paid 2k for 2 year use of car?

Your figures are well out and not taking into account dealer spread.
They depreciate, heavily, like all AMG models. Work off 25-35% depreciation in two years + interest cost(s).

So I did valuation on audi/merc/3rd party sites and most of them dealerships would offer 57500 for my car with current milage, however recommended private sale comes up as up to 62k (which isnt realistic).
So if I keep car for let say 6-12 months and trade in for another car, I should have around 1-2k POSITIVE equity in the car left?
Personally this is first car ever I have that has started from positive equity, if I pay off cash then that's 3k positive equity towards next car if traded in. Normally when I had previous cars, E220/E350 w213 premium pluses, they all started with about 5k neg equity once I drove out of dealership.
