Hope you are all having a chilled sunday morning

I have a bit of a dilemma, unfortunately my Toyota Celica is pretty much a goner after a faithful service and as I am week 1 into a new job I can't really afford a new car so I am onto finance. buut I just can't choose between the above so I was wondering what you guys would do.

have you guys heard of any faults etc with one or the other??

I’d go for the 2.0, it’s a better engine. I had one about 10 years ago, it’s still going now on 165,000 miles. The only fault I had was the EGR valve clogging, mate fixed it for a few quid.

Look at the golf it’s a much better car.

Of those two I'd say the 1.9. It's a crude but simple engine.

There are lots of mega mileage of the engine plodding on.
