Lotus Evora S vs Porsche 997.2 vs BMW i8
Discussion
Hi all
After many months of trying to whittle down the choice for my next car I've finally got it down to three possible cars. The Lotus Evora S, Porsche 911 997.2 C4S and the BMW i8. The next step is to start finding some cars and doing some test drives as they are all very different takes on the 2+2 Sports coupe.
I was wondering if anyone on here had driven any of these and could shed some light on how they compare. There seems to be a lot of reviews of Evora's vs Caymans and 911 vs BMW i8's but I've not seen a group test of these cars before so would like to know how the stack up against each other.
At the moment I am being swayed towards the Lotus. It's the cheapest of the bunch, is supposed to be great handling, makes a decent noise and with a Toyota engine I am guessing it will be quite reliable and easier to maintain than the other two.
Any help would be much appreciated

Evening, did you decide what to go for in the end? I’m interested in the comparison
No, not yet as still waiting for my current car to sell. The i8 is looking more attractive everyday as prices continue to drop but I am also now considering a 997 gen 1 turbo as they too are in the same type of price bracket. While I think the Lotus will be the more enjoyable driving car than both the Porsche and BMW I think the Porsche will tick every possible box. Let's wait and see. Would be keen to hear anyone else's thoughtsTrev
